Default newbi from texas

hi yall from texas
any how i won a traxxas from my snap-on tool guy last winter and i love it, i have gone thru the "dont run into anything or it will break" part. so now i am ready to hop t up!
i have already changed the shock towers due to smashing into a motorcycle in my shop and the body mounts are now new due to a really cool jump that went WAY WRONG.
but for the most part it is stock, but i did make a cool ex. tip for it and now it spits oil all over the right rear a arms and ill fix that next week.
durring the ex tip build i took the pipe apart and found a disc with 6 holes in it, any thoughts as to what will happen if i do not install the disc( on bikes it make the mix lean but makes big improvment in power, with reget), also i am waiting for a cold air intake i bought off ebay to get here.
i was wondering if a new pipe would be better or will the mod to the stock pipe will cause any damage? how do i rejet?

well i took the disc out and it ran like a raped ape, had much more off trigger power than before. only took a little adjustment of the air/mix screw to get it to run good.
this thing is way fast now
