well this weekend im going up to san luis obispo and im gonna be taken my xcell to the beach up there im guessing my stock tires are gonna suck in the sand. or am i wrong i was thinking of going and to my lhs to get these tires
http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/726470.asp
what do u guys think ? or should i be fine with my stock tires? also a noob question do i need to do anything special taken my truck in the sand ? anywho let me know if any of u guys taken your xcell to the sand or beach . thanks in advance and remember " Now u know and knowing is half the batttle"
you probably already went but i have taken my x-cellerator and revo to glamis (huge dunes(100-350)fttall) and the stock tires are just fine the car floats on the sand. and as for a tear down. thats not necisary unless you get rooseted by a banshee or a sandrail.

when i had my x-cell i put an xtm failsafe and when ever i would run the truck the failsafe would always like click on and offand would hold throttle and the failsafe would let me gas it a little then brake gas then brake it was very annoying i took off the fail safe and tried it out, it ran perfect. i put the failsafe in my truggy and works great i dont know.

I've seen that before on the X-c and a few other ST's, resolved the problem with a higher end failsafe........I just put on the simple Venom failsafe.........never seen any problems with any other XTM's or models accept ST's[&o]

*** Official Noob Question of the week**
well i just changed the batteries and cleared the problem right up thats what i thought was the problem but being a noob wanted to make sure it wasn't some other far out thing ha ha. so this Saturday i ran my xcell all day long in dirt and the street ran awesome but my heat sink got real dirty so i decided to take it of and clean it. Well i took it off and cleaned it put lock tight on the screws and put it back on....... but now the engine wont kick over sounds like it will but i try to prime it and nothing just keeps. bogging could i have fouled something ? or should i just keep tryn till it starts?

If you didn't torque the heat sink or head which ever you want to call it, properly you could be loosing compression causing the problem. Or if you spun the sleeve a little and screwed up the port alignment that could also be the problem...........Good luck[&o]

okay if i am losing compression all i have to do is make sure these i torque the screws as tight as i can and that should bring back my compression? i didnt mess with anything else when i took of the head. so maybe i just need to tighten my screws?

Making sure you tighten them evenly back and forth is even more important than how tight you make them..............If you tighten one side right off the bat your in deap Due Due, also did you remember to put the shim back in? Put some lock tight on the screws? Gasket in for the Glow plug? Whew[&:]......lol

I will get back to you on the week end if someone else doesn't [&o] I can torque the head without any problem myself but your question deserves a good answer[:-]

do u want the xcellerator body ? or do u want a stadium truck body if u want just the clear body check ebay or hobbypeople.net if u want a clear truck body check the same places just that the other bodies take some modifing for them to fit hope that helps and the most modifcation they need is the for u to cut out the back so the back shock towers have clearance.

hey, whats the best way to prime your motor? first run i always have a hard time getting fuel up to the carb just by pulling the start. thanks. also, just yesterday i started it up after about 6 months of not using it. it fired right up. then all of a sudden it died and i was not able to start it back up. any suggestions?[X(]

Need more info to help with no start problem, probably glow plug. But as for the priming I just hold my finger over the stinger and watch for the gas to get to the carb in the fuel line[&o]

for priming you can hold the exhaust and turn over the motor, but i usually take the pressure line off the exhaust and blow in it. Primes it in about mmmm 2 seconds. Then it fires right up.

does car coming with glow starter and does he have failsafe sistem?
that is a thing that turn off engine when reciver goes out the range (i think so).
and by the way how big range does he have (in meters if possible)
these are the things that i couldnt find on internet.
and one more thing!
what are my chances to destroy the engine in the break in proces ( in % if possible).
while i was reading some pages of this forum i saw a whole bunch of guys who destroy the engine so i am a little bit scared.
i apologize if my grammar is bad because Im from croatia.

onroad tires? they do not come with it but you can buy some for it i have some for it and the work great
does it come with a glow starter? no it does not well at least mine didnt but some stores sale it as a package and they do send u one but most of the times u have to buy it separate
does it have a fail safe ? no again that is something you have to purchase seperate
chances of destroying engine ? um here is one im not sure what the percentages are on this question "rclynx and Annie " might be able to help you but i broke mine in fine and i was an idiot when i got my first nitro just read the directions and your shouldn't have a problem
