Default RE: Official XTM X-Cellerator thread!!

hey guys.. i just bought a o.s. cv-r .12 engine for a great deal.. the engine doesnt include anything, but does have a standard shaft. i wanted to know what I need in order for it to be a drop-in engine for the x-cell. If i buy the o.s. 12cv short shaft, will it fit http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBLR0&P=7 ? Will the xtm xcell clutch fit? engine mounts? Thanks to whoever can help me. I'd appreciate it big time.

I think your telling me you have an SG crank and want to change it to a S crank and yes you should have very little problem puting the OS in providing that the crank you want to put in is the right application[:-]

Those tires are good in tall grass and such, nothing packed and nothing on the road, basically as long as you run it off-road you'll be fine.

Yes, foams are almost always included in tires.

Black Angel-look on the XTM website for dimensions.

Hi, I'm thinking about buying an x-cellerator. I have an old HPI mt2 with a t-15 in it. how much faster would you say the x is in comparison. I am looking for something that is fast and cheap. the mt2 is horribly slow.

well my x-cell is like superb fast i havent clocked it yet but its acceleration is awesome but in germany x-cells have different engines... it looks alot like a os18(whatever) and has about 2,2hp.
all you need to make it perfect are some proline tires and better shockoil, maybe some harder springs(just in combination).

That motor doesn't have 2.2hp. If it did the transmission wouldn't last long after breakin.

Thats because the new X-Cells have a tranny issue. What gear was it?

has anyone of you put on the stabilizer kit ?
i tried but there was no way to mount it cause there arent even that small tools to get them things on :/
otherwise i thought if i bash the car it wouldnt even be positive to mount them, they only good for racing imo.
