RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread v2.0
Hey Thanks Guys! I hope to have both of my Nitro Evaders up and running as soon as I get the parts. I can't wait! I've also ordered an Evader EXT EP ST RTR from Tower for my son. It should arrive just after New Years! Hopefully it will be dry enough to run!

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread v2.0
Check it out! I just bought my son an electric evader for xmas and he was using my Hobbico Auto charger to charge the battery and the thing shorted out and melted the back of the charger which in turn melted a hole in the carpet in his room! My wife is pissed because we had new carpet installed back in April! Has this happened to anyone else? Is this common with this brand of charger? Any suggestions on what brand I should get to replace the charger?
By the way, how do I post pics on here?

never seen that before. Did he have the battery connected backwards? That would strain the charger.

No, He's pretty smart about that kind of stuff, However, I did notice that the wire shielding had broken and the wires were exposed at the base of the battery pack. I'm thinking that they probably shorted across there and fried the charger.
Tmaxx body was the first body that I had ever painted and customized for mounting and easy starter access as well as the glow starter. I think it turned out pretty good!
I should have some pics of my Nitro evaders as well as my son's electric evader soon!
Thanks for all the help and Happy Holidays!

Will a Losi XXX-NT fuel tank fit in my Duratrax Nitro Evader ST? I know I will have to drill some holes unless I get the stock tank, but I'm wondering if it'll work? I know the RC10GT tank will, but my local hobby shop doesn't have them in stock. Here's a link -

unfortunately, none of the websites I checked gave the tanks dimensions, so I am not sure. I would be concerned about the length. There is not that much room on the evader to go bigger than the stock tank in length, cuz it will hit the flywheel. If your LHS has that tank, measure it, and make sure it is not that much longer than the stocker.

Hey docphysics, do you know if that losi tank will fit an evader? The link is a couple posts up...
