Yeah id just skipped back a couple pages and started reading it over again, i was considering it after you had posted it, and since i melt a diff about once every two or three months might as well give it a try.

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread v2.0
yea man.. give it a try.. you may never look back again.. then you mite not like it.. for durability??? its tuff.. in my opinion it takes care of the biggest weakness these trucks have... expect to upgrade the wheel pins also... but you are getting more power to the ground... after doing the diff mod and using the better wheel pins(drill bits, blunt ends) it sems tuff... i bashed all summer and finally had to replace a set of rear wheels ( the plastic cracked).. but i believe that the broken pins contributed to the wheels getting cracked.. i think evader512 upgraded to hex style wheels and no problems... i ported the motor on my evader, and it really woke up.. its ballistic fast.. i also used a better piston/sleeve combo in the motor.. it now has a chrome sleeve... i used the piston/sleeve from a aquacraft miss vegas boat.. same exact motors made by duratrax, but they chrome plated the sleeves for the boat motors..(last longer) its a direct drop in, and for only about 30 bucks... the stock sleeve in the evader is nickel coated.. which tends to wear out very fast.. just a few tricks i have learned along the way..

holy cow!! wanna sell me some parts??? lol.. i need a few things.. some a arms, and the c clip that holds the clutchbell on.. lol.. if not i understand..i like to hang on to all my extra parts.. another tip for you.. ditch the junky stock clutch that always fails... install a traxxas tmaxx clutch.. get the one for the 2.5 tmaxx.. direct drop in.. grabs great, lasts great.. it gives the truck a little more stall.. so when its idling it doesn't wanna walk away from you..

yep.. they are a lot tuffer.. the nylons where fast, the the clutch spring starts to wear, then it breaks.. the tmaxx clutch is a winner in my book.. i am very happy with my evader since i have done all the mods to it.. its dependable....

When you click the post reply button at the bottom left hand of the box there is a paperclip that says file next to it and then it says lick here to upload images and files.

Well after spending hours trying to root out the problem with my os powered evader, i finnaly figured it out, melted diff, and my slipper pad had somehow managed to attach itself to both parts of the slipper and lock them together. Replaced both parts and the pad and good to go. Just spent the past hour blasting arround the neighborhood with it and no problems. Hope it solves all my issues with that car.

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread v2.0
My buddy has a nitro evader ST and we ate up the diff with his new motor installed the other day. At first we thought it was the diff gear teeth that were ate up but after taking it apart the diff gear teeth seemed ok. After inspection we noticed that if you held a dogbone tight and then turned the diff gear manually it turned freely. This didn't seem right so we bought DuraTrax Differential Rebuild Kit Evader ST and DuraTrax Differential Gear Nitro Evader ST. We werent exactly sure this was the right stuff to buy but we did anyway because it was cheap. I did a search before posting and didn't find any specific information so if you know of a post that already talks about this please point me in that direction. We are both new to the nitro evader and don't know much about it so any help is greatly appriciated.
Thanks,
Defm

Thats cool, ive got a spare tank i had tried to fit on to mine but it was too tall it was off a smartech rc, if i could have made it fit under the body without too much modding i would have tried using it.
