GS15R engine or GXR15 engine??
Hello,
I'm quite new to nitro cars but I have two already.. Kyosho Inferno MP7.5 sports (RTR) and a Apha Ten.
I'm now planning on getting a stadium truck, kyosho as well as it's easiest for me to pick up spare parts for kyosho. I have the Stadium force in mind but can't decide weather I should go for the ready set one with the GXR 15 engine or the kit version with the GS15R engine?? I know they are supposed to be the same - but they seem a bit different when it comes to the carburator and HS-needle etc. To me it seems that the ReadySet engine is better when one would figure it really should be the other way around?!
I was kinda looking forward to build my own truck and to do the paint job myself - but if I'm right about the engines I might have to skip this tempting thought for this time..
Anybody who knows anything about the Stadium Force and if there is any pluses or minuses with the engine from KIT or RTR???
Thanks!

Ok.
I have experience with kyosho engines. They are reliable runners, but don't last long, and are pretty weak.
My advice? Get the KIT version, and run the engine till it dies, then swap it for something like an O.S. .12 CV-R or a .15CV-R
I did something similar, O.S. engines are just so much better in every way.

I agree!
The KIT leaves me with a better choice of servos and controllers also of course... I guess I will benefit from this also when changing to a high performance motor.
Thanks for your advice!

I bought an RTR, and have swapped out the radio gear, engine, and almost everything else. I should have got the kit version...
Oh well, my loss is your gain!

I think the decision here is pretty much a no brainer. Kit form will save you money in the long run. Are there alternative engine mounts for it though? Kyosho likes to use that tripod style.
