Default first full on racing experiance with jato

i know people are tired of the jato threads but i'm sorry...i love them

today and St. Joseph Missouri Awsome Toys and Hobbies had a can food race day in the parking lot. It was great. There was so many vehicles there and everyone was great but anyways. to the point.

i was in the fourth race of the day against a couple other jato's and another st i'm not shure what it was but i think it was a rc18gt but not positive. The point of the races were to see who got the most laps in each race then were split to a main and b main by how many laps you completed. Usually they run 5 minute races but today for the huge amount of people who showed up they only ran 4 minutes. One guy told me last month the most laps was 35 laps in 5 minutes and i pulled off 31.5 laps in a 4 minute race but i ran out of gas at about 3 so i feel i coulda beat the record from last month but i need to figure something out for gas consumption. I feel the jato should be more well respected then it is. Its a great truck and just wanted to tell everyone my experiance with it and that i'm very impressed. I didn't get to compete in the last races because i broke a turn buckle. Kinda sucked. It happened after ramping about 10 feet during intermission and then got hit by a savage and the lhs didn't have one for me to buy so i was done. it was about 80 degrees with little humidity and was running speed hawgs and 5 cell pack and everything else stock except some badhorsie boots heres some pics if you are interested i ordered the red alum turnbuckles and i'm annoing them blue to match everything else also ordered sway bars to.

http://community.webshots.com/user/supersly_jones just go to the jato folder...also if your interested in the t-maxx or any of the nascar stuff let me know..lol

Sounds like you really like your Jato. I know what you mean about all the AJto threads but everyone like to tell everyone else about their new car. I was kinda the same way when I first got my evader. Thought I was the coolest kid ever with my r/c car but I realized that tons of other people had them and I just kinda became another R/C enthuiast. Great Hobby this is.

Sounds awsome man, wish I had something like that going around here.

On another note: STAY AWAY FROM THE RED TURNBUCKLES!!!!!!!!! If you thought your stock turnbuckle broke easily wait till you snap a red turnbuckle. They are over-prices peices of crap. I was warned but didnt listen so dont make the same mistake. Get lunsford titaniums around the same price, and 5x stronger. They are also lighter than the stocks. I know the red buckles are pretty but heed my advice. I have replaced the red turnbuckles on my car as they snap and I only have 3 left the rest are titanium and havent even bent a little.

Have fun!!

Sounds cool! I just got one a few days ago and finally was able to break it in today. This thing is definitely sweet! I can't wait to do some racing with it.

Ive bought some 3racing products from hong kong off ebay and the shipping was CHEAP. Products were great. At that price how can you go wrong.

It says $4 S&H all other countries

Thanks for the link. I just bought a set for the rear. So now I will have lunsfords on the front with red alum. for the steering and 3racing titaniums on the rear.

Great!!! It looks good and keeps the temps higher than the old one. Its running at about 230-240F.

No, the old head I had (badhorsie performance head) wasnt allowing the truck to get over 200F which caused my sleeve and piston to go early. So I was trying to get the temps up without having to go back to the stock head.

See thats the thing with buying lunsfords....(lifetime warranty) No need to buy more than one extra.
