Default Turbo Questions

i was just curious i have a stock trx 2.5 and i was wondering what a turbo would do to that and what would it cost.
Or what would be a good engine for the jato that would drop directly in and is affordable
thanks for all the help

get an os they have a wide spred of choices of horsepower and size. turbo engines are good for on road or high speed activities. your jato likes parking lots and streets right?
the os. or if you feel exotic get a novarossi or a picco...

Try a search as this has been discussed time and time again on this form. Forced air on small 2 cycle engines like we run where the intake and exhaust port are open at the same time does not work very well. All you do is waste fuel and there are a lot of better ways to spend your money to get more speed and performance. [8D]

I am sorry thought they were talking about turbo chargers![X(]

turbo is the type of plug that you can use if you engine is able to, and there is a porting method that is done to the crank of your engine to ease airflow thru your engine to produce moe power and quicker response.

I can't answer any jato questions, as I haven't even seen one in person. The fuel filter though, serves two purposes really. First and of utmost importance, it filters any debris that may have gotten into your fuel or tank before it gets into the engine and destroys it, and secondly it stores a little bit of fuel in it for a few more seconds of running upsidedown. I have even heard of people putting two of them in for even more time.
Good luck

I doubt it....you gotta remember these little engines got no torque...you need torque for pulling...it's why we prefer 4 stroke nitro's on airplanes to swing larger props...ie..torque....if you start pulling things around with your jato it won't last long

Just check this site [link=http://www.rbinnovations.com/catalog/index.php]RB INNOVATIONS[/link], they sell superchargers (not exactly turbos). this may give you a few answers. If they don't help performance, they sure look cool.

Just look at this picture:

Just look at this picture:

Looks cool is all it is...it does nothing to the engine at all they cannot prove it does either. $179 for something useless...can buy a better engine for that Besides even if it did work who would want a rubber band controlling fuel flow to the engine.

you probably will burn up many clutches trying also... centripetal clutches don't like to be held in a slipping condition, either minimal slipping during idle or full locked at higher rpm.

Instead of wasting $179 on a worthless forced air induction system I spent $200 on something I know will work an OS.18TZ. Now all I have to do is finish beefing up the drive train before I install it.
