Any rims will do just get what you like. As for tires proline roadrages work great. Now for tuning no one can give you setting you have to tune it for where you run. The needle setings vary with altitude, humidity, temperature, and a number of other things. I suggest you look around websites like rccaraction.com and learn how to tune.

Go and get a temp guage for tunning. Get Dirt Hawg tires in the rear. They work great on and off road.

Dirt Hawgs...for racing [sm=confused.gif], don't get me wrong they are great off-road tires, but for racing they "[:'(][:'(][:'(]". bow-ties are a good all around race tire, but you can do better if you know the track conditions (loose or hard packed, inbetween, dusty?). I've found a personal favorite to be Hole Shot, or Hole Shot T. Notice: racing tires with small pegs will wear extremely quickly if you run on pavement. I suggest keeping to the track is you get racing tires.
