Default New engine for rc 10

I want a new engine for my RC10GT and don't know what to get. The only problem is that i can only spend about $160. Thanks for the input.

Cheap, reliable engine...Dynamite 12SPD. Attack sleeve with dremel to boost perfomance.

do a search on the dynamite engines, there is a very mixed review of them..

the OS .12 CV-R absolutely rules!!! it is a very powerful and quick engine and the price tag is only 125 bucks..

.12CVR. end of story.
Or if you want to go a bit further, get some taller gearing, tougher drivetrain parts and stick a O.S .18 CVR-X in it.

the 18CVR is indeed a badass engine, but if you've ever owned a .12CVR powered RC10GT, you'll KNOW you dont need to go up to the 18. my GT (sold, a couple months ago, regret it too) topped out around 40 (plenty for any stadium truck), wheelied on command, and sipped fuel compared to the .18, like a Corolla does compared to a Viper.

trust me...the 18 might be cheaper to buy, but getting the clutch to make it hook, and the gears for the transmission to keep it running after Wide open throttle applications...you'll spend $250 on putting the engine in.
