is it normal for your engine to die while idling? this is my first tank of fuel on the motor. the only way i can keep it idling is if i prime the engine..should i adjust the high speed needle? thanks.

I would try to set the idle up a little. If this cause it to idle to fast try leaning out the low speed a little. What engine do you have?

If you need to pump fuel in to the engine to keep it running it is running lean. Richen the LSN on the carb and see if that helps. I had the same thing with my .15X, the LSN was way too lean from the factory.
