Check eBay or other threads for them cheaper.

I use this one.....[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHZE2&P=0]Ofna 1/8 & 1/10 Narrow Starter Box[/link] But I got it real cheap, like $30.

These will work too:

I'd reccomend a Tigerdrive instead of a starter box. It works great for me. Best part was that no modifications needed (i.e. motor mount, flywheel, etc.) Complete conversion cost $40

Tigerdrive uses a drill to start your engine. If you like this method, you can do this even with out the tigerdrive, just remove the pull start assembly, then use the oneway bearing and place it inside a socket (13mm) with extension (same as a yank eliminator).

Best part - no modifications, no added weight & cheap. You probably have the tools needed already.

Starter Box price starts at 50 & up, depending on features, with or without powerpanels etc. Any universal 1/10 starter box will be fine.

I have been looking for a yank eliminator so I can do away with my pull start. You say there is no mods to do. But I am worried about what keeps that shaft in the engine. When I say the shaft I am talking about when you remove the pull start you have the engine back plate and in the center of it is the shaft with the hex on it that the pull start mates up to. I can grab that shaft and just pull it out. so what keeps it in?? Thanks for all your info and advise.

justis here u go and go to the makers web site not TOWER This is the Yank Eliminator for Most Engines using a 6mm bearing.
This tool is a special adapter to facilitate starting all .12 and .15
nitro engines (equipped with pull starters) with a common drill.

FEATURES: Works on most Associated, HPI, Traxxas and other gas cars/trucks
with pull start engines mounted sideways.
Allows starting with the body on the vehicle.
Eliminates chance of pull-starter string or spring breaking.
Inexpensive, convenient alternative to starter boxes or hand held
starters.
Increases speed and acceleration by eliminating drag on the engine
from the pull starter's bearing and through weight reduction.
Saves space behind the engine and allows for a variety of high
performance exhaust manifolds to be installed.
Made of CNC machined aircraft grade aluminum.
Two-tone anodized finish.
Ultra-high percision one-way bearing made in Germany.
1/4" hex for no-slip-fit with your drill.

INCLUDES: One Yank Eliminator Starting Tool

REQUIRES: Your own drill to mount tool into.
Removal of the motors pull starter

COMMENTS: Make sure drill is in the forward direction.
Pull drill trigger, once engine is started, slide the tool off.
For OS CV engines, use HGIC9301.
WILL work on the Torq 12, 16, & 21 as well as the Velocity 15
from DuraTrax.
WILL work on the Kyosho 15 engines, which are found in vehicles like
the Ultima GP Sports. updated cmc 02/03/02
This will work on side mounted engines only. However, on some engines
the header may get in the way and not allow enough room for the
installation and removal of the Yank Eliminator.
Also works for Traxxas TRX15. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...p?&I=LXSG87&P=

Hi, i noticed one of your rc10gt has HPI rims, when you ionstalled those did you use the wheel adapters that came stock with the truck or did you got new ones. I ask this because i looking to buy the pro-line wabash rims and i relly dont know what the mounting procedure is. Also im looking forward to get rid of my pullstarter on my AE.15 and i was wondering if using the one way bearing attached to the hex extencion was no a good idea with a normal 12v cordless drill. Do i need a high torque one or a specialized starter for that matter?

tnkx
