Hi. Just got my Jato 2.5 and wanted to know if the EZ Starter is more realiable than a pull start?

Iwould say go with the ez-start. It's just an easier way and you wont strain your arm trying to get the engine running.

Strain your arm.....isn't that getting a bit lazy? Besides the Pull start saves quite a bit of weigh and makes it less cramped.

If you have a problem with starting it with a pull starter either it is out of tune or there is something wrong.

EZ Start doesn't fall apart....it doesn't get gunked with dirt. So yeah it's better. I'd never change a ez start out for a pull start...lazyness and simplicity outweigh pullstarters

A thirt option is to go with a starter box like the Rotostart. I already had the Rotostart for my HPI Savage, so it made sense for me. I just used the Duratrax backplate for the TRX 2.5 motor (works perfectly on my 3.3). It saved quite a bit of weight over the EZ Start, cleared up a lot of the EZ Start's clutter and I can still be a lazy ***** and not have to yank a pullstart.

I love my E-Z start espaclly on those days where i am too tired to yank anything because it's so hot. A starter box is good but if you wanna walk down your road or somthin you gotta lug around the whole starter box. RoTo starts save alot of weight and you can be lazy but you need a glow igniter where on e-z starts you don't. please correct me if i'm wrong but does the new roto starts have a combined glow plug thing? if they now do ( i forget if they do or dont) get the rotostart, if not e-z start, if race starter box, if you like pulling pull start

i like roto start followed up by a starter box
