They're plastic. The rear wheels get a little heat in them, softening the hexes, and when you get them hot enough, they melt, stripping them, and the wheels. HPI makes an aluminum set for the MT2 that fits. you get four, so if you ever do break one, you have spares. This is what I did even before I stripped any hexes, since I've seen it happen so many times before - and i didn't ruin any rims that way. I'll brb with the part number.

Gah! I can't find the part number. I've looked all over - HPI's site, Tower, even Googled it. Go to your lhs tho, and tell them about the aluminum hex hub set for the Nitro MT(2), they'll know about it. I know they exist, 'cause i have them. I just can't find them right now. ThunderbirdJunkie would probably know the part number, he's been in the hobby FOREVER. lol, j/k TJ.

I didn't notice, welcome to the forum!
220-230 sounds pretty good, even a little higher is okay not too much over 250 tho. Keep in mind to tune by performance too, not just tempurature, since temperatures differ depending on the weather.
Is it your first Nitro? or one of many? It was my first nitro, i've had it a little over a year, and it has me hooked, a Revo 3.3 is on the way (I'm sure just about everyone on here knows, i'm so excited)
