It sure will, but if your going to race it, youll need a legal engine, The OS .12tz rocks or even the RB V12. My V12 is untouchable (stock engine wise) but my OS .12tz ebmod runs it down.
If your looking for a good cheap bashing engine, the OS .18tm is a good choice.

Depends on what your planning to do with it. My Sport now has a TRX 2.5R. Was a direct drop in, and the E-Z Start was included. No need for the pain the the butt roto start, pull start or the awkwardly bulky starter box. Ill be pulling the DTX .18 from my Evader and dropping in a TRX 3.3 real soon.

Alot of guys will tell you Traxxas is junk or low quality, thats all B.S. Unless you plan on racing in competition Traxxas has the best bashers for the price. Why pay $350-400+ for a stripped down Losi or a Associated wneh you can have one that will be cheaper, just as reliable (if not more) and more fun for the money. Parts are nickle and dime compared to Associated and Losi.

There is only one flaw to any of the traxxas engines, thats the cheap carb, it will crack. But it comes with a simple fix, the OS .18 tm carb fits and works great. My bro runs a 2.5R and does very well with it, finished 2nd friday night, behind a guy running a RB V12.
A basher engine, traxxas, but if your going to race, I would pick up a OS .12tz or RB V12.
