hey, i just moved back to the states , and drug my RC10 out of storage, bought it about 3 years ago or so. anyway, kinda of slowly getting back into the hobby
i purchased a ofna inline fuel filter tonite, and a foot of tubing, i got it on fine, but im not sure on the placement, obivlisly you cant have it dongle right by the fuel tank, and near the gears and spure, it also was blocking the linkage and throttle arm from moving correctly. so i zip tied it on to that plate in the back, just under the power switch..ran tube from tank , then tube to carb. is that a good placement?
ive never used one, but was reading its a very smart idea, especially since the engine barely has a gallon through her.
also one last thing how often do you need to change them?
cheers
the site is great btw
i think ill take a pic of the car and the way that is set up and post it, since my writing is confusing

yeah, definatly upload a pic, im having a bit of trouble visualizing where you put it. also, you should just be able to clean the mesh inside the fuel filter if it gets dirty. you just unscrew the two halves and just clean the mesh with some extra fuel you dont need. then re-assemble it. however, ive run tons of fuel filters over a period of about a year and ive only ever had to clean one of them, but its still a good idea to check them every once in awhile.

i run filters on all my cars.
just on note.
make sure you got it facing the right way.
i put one on mt 2 and it was facing the wrong way.
i couldn`t figture out why the engine was stalling until
i pulled the filter apart. mine are coned shaped and i have to make
sure the cone is facing the right way

Yeah a pic would be good here to as I am also having some trouble trying to visualize where exactly you out the darn thing. But yes it's a good idea that you have one on there. About the cleaning part I check mine every half a gallonto a gallon, this just makes sure that I do not run to long with all that dirt in there. I have seen some filters that had that much crud in the filter that it was leaning out the engine and the people had just about given up on the thing as everything they did just did not help. It took me 5 minutes to find the problem after that it was fine.
