Default problems with an MT2

ok heres the story

i got my new MT2 18ss
i built it and prepared it for break in

then i got impatient
i went about half way thru the break in

now i have millions of problems

its hard to start
over heats within a minute of idle
cant properly stay in idle
stalls within minutes of starting
and burns the components

is this happening becuz of my impatience or
cuz of a messed up tuning process im somewat unaware of?
wat can i do to save this engine

dude in this hobby you need to be patient just a heads up.

to me it sounds like your engine is screwed. the breaking in of a nitro engine & any other 2/4stroke engine is the most most most important thing.
are you new to the hobby or do you know what your doing tuning wise?. if i was you i would read the engine manual and set everything back to factory and re-tune from there. remember you want plenty of blue smoke at full throttle/top end.

hey i was patient with my mt2 and it still turned out like that. i guess both of us have bad luck. they wouldn't replace it either.

I do not like the HPI 18SS and am so glade when I got my MT it came as a kit with out and engine or radio set up. Mine has been through many changes and has had the crap run out of it. Has been a great truck. If I where to get and HPI MT 18SS the first thing I would do is sell the engine on ebay and get and OS 18 CV-RX. As you can see mine has a little run time on it. Picture was taken when I was taking out my OS 15 CV-RX and putting my OS 18 TZ in.

Is it used? You say the setting is correct but settings need to be changed all the time for weather conditions. Have you tried putting them back to factory settings and then retune as needed? Are you sure the glow plug is good and the igniter is working properly?

Just a heads up do not get the GPM junk and save your money for things that really help. If you just have to have heavy alloy HP robbing parts get something better then GPM!!!!!!!
