Ok. so heres the deal. I have a nitro evader st that i barely ran. (about 1/2 gallon of nitro through it). Unknown to me the screws on the pipe came loose and burnt of the gasket and it ran like crap if at all. I thought it was the tuning (dumb mistake). So to make a long story short i ran it too lean to try to get it to run and now have worn doen the piston sleeve and have lost compression. Now i am in the predicament of whether i replace the sleeve/piston/ con. rod or buy a new engine. I could do the repair myself but i dont want to waste the money if the nickel plated sleeve is just going to go out again. Which would be the better way to go?

do u still have the receipt? If so the engine has a 2 year warranty, they will replace or rebuild for free, u just have to pay to ship it there.

I got it so long ago...it might have been two years by now. I dont think i have the receipt.

u should get a new engine the nickel platind is crap mine only lasted 1 gallon each time i rebuilt it

would you sugest the os cvrx .18? or something else?

the OS18cvrx is no doubt the best drop in engine for the nitro evader, but u will have to get a alloy diff gear and a few plastic idler gears. Dont get all alloy, cause they will just wear each other out, and its nice to have a cheap weak point in the tranny

the .18cvrx is a good engine it drops right in tons of power jus got one a few days ago

so the os 18 cvrx is about $110 on tower...how much would i look at spending on the idlers and alloy differential gear?

i got my diff gear for $20 can so maybe $15 not sure price for the plastic idlers tho igot steel one was like $25

if i were you id buy a new engine, i mean id dont know you very well, but i think you may have a friend that is giving you a team losi xxx-nt adam drake so i would just spend the money on an engine for that and race that

hi im new here and i have a nitro evader and i love the truck and i have some questions i was wondering if u guys gould help.

wen it is running some times it will die and the pull start wont pull ???

and how big is stock gass tank i went 2 the hobby shop and they sed my tank is not the stock tank and wont 2 know what tank it is but idk i bot the truck off ebay $80 it was used (pull problem is my folt dident do it wen i first got it)
