I have a tower hobbies st-15. Eerything is stock except the tires and i have the tuned pipe ordered. When ever i go to jump it always flips over. Anyone have suggestions like moving gas tank or batteries forward.
Thanks for any help.

This is my first real r/c car. Where i live we have speed bumps and the little cement V-shaped drainage thing in the middle of the road but is not enough of anything to jump. The other day i hit like maybe a 1.5 inch inperfection in the road and the back shock blew it top off and the trick flip upside down. I took it to the only local hoppy store and he said its still good just refill it with oil. But recently i hae been watching other people drive on you tube. Some of the jumps they do are amazing and they mostly land on the wheels. I was kinda thinking my weight dist. might be bad.
Also I have my throttle and brake not connected right and can not figure out how to make it right. When ever i hit the brakes it closes the carb and stalls the truck. But if i lossen the screws on the carb on not to stall. I cant go full throttle.

Try tapping the breaks in the air or giving a little gas and see if that helps any it should bring the front up or the rear down.Hope it helps.

Applying the brakes should not stall the engine. Idle adjustment is not made by linkage. There is an idle screw on the carburator. Turn the screw clockwise untill idle is set. Do these adjustments after the engine has warmed up. If you have trouble keeping the engine running while it is cold, use the throttle trim on the radio to increase the idle. Once it has warmed up the trim should be set back to mid pos. You should have approx. 1mm gap (opening) of the slide in the carburator at idle.

yea, you can also use the idle adjustment on the transmitter.....btw, no offence to your car or anything but those people are doing big jumps b/c they have better cars....the tower st-15 isn't a really good car, it's not bad for beginners, but it's one of the lower down cars.... you would have to change a lot for it to be able to do stuff like that....IMHO

Thats wrong! never use the trims on transmitter to adjust idle speed

Trims are to there to make fine adjustments, to help you zero-in the servo position. You could also use the trim to temporarily bump up your idle, to ease starting. Base idle adjustment should always be done on the carb though.

Adjusting the idle screw is what worked, now i can hit the brakes and the engine still runs. Thanks for the Help. And for the record the tuned pipe really makes that truck fly.

Nick, what tuned pipe do you have? Iwas looking into pipes and the only one Ifound that fit the stock engine was the TH tuned pipe which ran for about $30. Is yours he TH pipe or another brand? I really don't want to mod the chassis or body too much, I would rather pull something off and just replace it with a part that fits properly. Does your pipe make a real difference to your trucks performance?
