Default Rustler pulls right, help!

Hey all. I'm having a steering problem with the rustler. It seems no matter how much I try and fix the steering, I always have to use left steering trim to make it go straight! There is also a LOT of play in the steering before the servo picks up. Is that the problem? If so, how do I fix it? Thanks!

you need to recenter your steering servo. just take out the servosaver screw set the wheels so that they are nice and straight and screw back on. but before doing so make sure your steering trim is set to ZERO.

Done that. I've also made sure all of my turnbuckles are the same length. Is there any easy way to "reset" the steering?

You said there is alot of play in the steering.... are you sure your servo saver isn't stripped?

Brand new Futaba servo and servo saver. High torque with metal gears. Same problem. And yes, I believe the issue is an alignment problem, but even then, there's so much play in the turnbuckles even though they're fully screwed in.

First, don't multi-post...

Secondly, check if your servo saver is loose. Make sure you adjust the sub-trim on your transmitter.

You can't center it while its on its wheels. The most accurate way to center it is by adjusting the steering sub-trim WHILE the truck is in motion. Not slow, but at a decent pace where you can notice how far it dodges to the right.

When you upgraded to the high torque servo did you upgrade to the correct servo saver. I had a simliar problem when I upgraded to a hi-tec 645mg servo. The stock traxxas servo savers DO NOT FIT on some aftermarket servos. They appear to fit but are not snug enough so when you turn you end up with slow and slippage. Make sure your using the right servo saver for your server, one that is specifically made to handle a hi torque servo...
