this is.... how can you get it to braKE WELL my stupid car although the fastest and best handling has hardly any brakes. i keep tighning them but it keeps wearing down unlike on my friends rustler where hes never adjusted his brakes and it stops dead from 50mph
my jatos brake arnt worn so they dont need replacing, could it be the metal pads should i buy a different marerial of pads for better grip on the brake.

the short of it is: take out that spring, replace with a inch of fuel ine, and cut a slightly smaller peice from a ball point pen. ajdust the metal pads, so that they just barely drag on the disc. also, get a pin keeper, and put it on the brake rod behind servo ear. so that when you give it gas, the brakes are fully released. this will help alot, and lock it up on dirt , but remember, when you hit brakes, weight shifts forward, making the rear lighter. on pavement, it helps alot but also, their is only one disk to the whole brake set-up. If your jato is pretty much stock wieght ,thats a lot of work for one disk. Traxxas really dropped the ball on the brakes on these.

angus has the best set up for locking the breaks up, its hard to stop on a dime when the breaks lock up, the car wants to go into a slide but you can do it, watch out for tire wear, this cars fast, so full breaks mean you will lose rubber on the pavement ,lots of rubber, heres my set up
