Default Best Stadium truck

Hi i have had a few electric trucks and i am now looking to make the step towards nitro trucks i was looking at thje HPI firestorm but 35mph seems a little slow considering that the standard electric rustler does that. I am looking for a truck that does around 50mph without too much mods i was considering the nitro rustler the schumacher riot or the HPI firestorm. if there are any more suggestions i would be extremely thankful also durabilty is a must so is speed and price i have a budget of $550 AUS or $470 USD.
Thanks in advance

There are a lot of pro's and con's on the riot M8, but all the ST's are pretty fast compaired to MT's and Buggies, because thats what there made for. What you need to worry about is support because ST's break more than any of the other Nitro RC's. (well if your having fun they do) so see what they have at the closest LHS and buy what you can get parts for. Or get what ever you want and expect it to be down for a few weeks while you wait for parts every time you break good luck man

Not sure where you get buggies are slow as on the track they are WAY faster then the 1/10 stadium trucks and the ones on the track both stadium and buggies are no where near stock. Even a decent RTR buggy is way faster then most stadium trucks and they handle WAY better.

What is with you man....................how many 1/10 buggys out there are faster that a 1/10 truck..........do you just want to argue or what is your story..........[>:] there probably isn't a 1/8 buggy out there that isn't faster than a 1/10 ST so whats your point or are you even in this conversation[>:]

I'd recommend an Associated GT2 RTR RS, I got it as my first truck and it's awesome! The stock engine seems pretty good and esy to breakin, besides the fact that it's hard to tune. But even if it's tuned wrong it still runs ok so you can have it way too rich and it'll still zip all over the place! It's also pretty easy to start, provided you don't flood it which is all too easy with nitros.

Are you serious? Its my first nitro and I've got it running perfect!

Anyway, like neilt6, I'm also recommending the GT2 RTR

The Firestorm is actually very fast. The electric rustler is doing mid 20's out of the box. It only does 35mph with a 7 cell battery, a larger pinion, and while going down a freakin hill. The new Traxxas brushless cars only do mid 30's with a 6 cell, the "70 mph" was measured with a 3-cell LiPo and a large pinion.

Ditto. Just make sure you purchase some RPM arms. Those are the first thing to break.

Nitro Rustler is a great truck, you just have to know its limits just like every other truck. I jump mine at least 5ft in the air and have bad landings at times and no broken parts yet(knock on wood). Well i do have upgraded a-arms and things like that but still a great truck. Only problem is WOT you have almost no steering.[:@]

Jato is faster in the straight M8 but the Rusty is much more agile for racing................I don't know of anything in RC slightly used man, its more of a risk and I do take those risks once in a while but for a much better price............anything used in RC is rule of thumb half price or less

The firestorm 10t is the way to go.When your driving it,the power is much much more fun than any fast car, besides, the firestorm only has 1 gear.Just think all that power is put into 1 gear![X(]

i would say the duratrax nitro evader is pretty kick ass.

definetly not the best but i would say much better than anything traxxas has. the nitro sport was a shame[:'(]

people say "duratrash" i would say "high speed crash" because beginners buy those and improperly break them in and just shatter everything after jumping at full speed or slamming into a poll. those people expect cool toys, not a high proformance model that can break.

My first ST was an Evader and I spent about 800 bucks upgrading it to handle more speed...I just picked up a MT2 18ss and installed an OS18 in it and it is twice as fun as the Evader was

you can't beat 4wd stadium trucks
if your goal is speed Jato 3.3 is your truck..however if your new to the hobby the Jato is for more experienced drivers....so be carefull and read the manual 3 times before you start it.
