RE: Failsafes..
well i just ordered the failsafe from venom racing! and yes its vital because your car will eventualy run out of batteries and run off by itself when the radio looses contact! which has happened to me...get one from venom!

Duratrax also makes a good fail safe for about $20 and yes it is vital. My Jato has a throttle return spring so I really dont need it but its nice to have just in case.

RE: Failsafes..
I use a failsafe and a spring also a temp sensor hand held b/c i can check more cars with it but the temp failsafe offers the protection of turning your throttle down when you engine warms up which is nice.

A failsafe is a must for any gas powered car, its better to spent $20 now than having to replace the whole car when it drives into a wall or a river - or worse pay for damages to someone elses property.

RE: Failsafes..
or another idea for a failsafe is XTM. They make a good failsafe, I have one on my rusty and it works great...though i have never ran out of things...though there was tat one time where I pulled the throttle instead of the brake and hit a tire and broke a front a-arm. lol!!
