Default Jato 3.3

I just recently got one, broke it in and all that - but im disappointed.

I mean, its fast, but is it just me or is that all its good for? It cant seem to turn to save its life, and off road (at least in stock form) its a joke. Anyone else feel that its more like a drag racer than anything else?

I too recently got one, but I knew what I was getting into, just something fast to drive around on the road - and for that its great. Its offroad use in stock form is limited, but flat gravely places are fun. Its a bit more of a princess than most other stadium trucks, but I dont mind. Its too fast to bash really, one good crash at full speed and you've had it.

What you dont understand is that it is very capable off road with some minor changes. Yes its fast and its set up for road in stock form. Do some research and you will find out that it can be a great off road truck. Bigger off road tires makes a world of difference. I also dont understand why anyone would buy a JAto and expect it to perform as well off road as it does on road.

Hah the stock brakes really do suck, I noticed that as well. I'm gonna have to jury rig something that works better, because at that speed I can't have it taking that long to stop.

Out of the box my brakes would want to pinch the disk a BIT even when in neutral or throttle open position. Since the servo horn uses a pass through its only good for adjusting MORE breaking. I added a rubber band that pulls the brake linkage towards the rear of the car, holding it open unless the servo pushes it the other way to brake, which it has no problem doing even though the rubber band is there. Then when I went out, broke it in, and started running it fast, I noticed the brakes just werent stopping the car well. I tried it with and without my rubber band, and with all kinds of adjustments on the rod and the brakes just cant seem to handle the inertia of the car.

wat i did to keep the brakes dragging is put a peice of tape on the linkage so that when you hit the throttle it pushes it back and keeps it from dragging.

cut a ink pen a little shorter than the fuel line, and put the fuel line in it like my picture. and get a pin keeper, its a small collar with a grub screw. Airplane guys use em. put it on the brake rod, behind the horn so that when you give it gas, it opens the brakes further. also, if you tighten the adj. on the brake rod too much, the brakes wont work at all. the adjustment is somewhere in the middle
