it needs 4 AAs for the reciever, or you could get a rechargable pack. Also it needs 8AAs for the transmitter.

In addition to a glow starter and some fuel.

Thx I bought the DYNAMITE DYN4056 PROPHET SPORT BATTERY CHARGER REVO to recharge the batteries

Just make sure not to recharge alkalines.

I would think the instruction manual would tell you most of what you are asking. If it is used and you do not have one you can down load it off HPI web site.
