Ok guys, so here are some pictures of my Jato with the new body I just finished painting today. Sorry for the poor quality as all of them were taken with my phone. I'll post more up when I get my digital camera back. TRUST ME, these pics do the body NO justice.

Oh and the only "stickers" on there are the two "monster" words right above the door, and the chrome window moldings.

Oh yeah, and the little parking light and R/T symbol too. Everything else I did by hand, tape, and exacto blade. The stars were a pain in the arse.

Got a question... I just sent my old 2.5 off my Jato to Traxxas to be replaced with a brand new 3.3 engine. I was looking at getting an RD Logics dually exhaust. What do you guys know about this pipe? Is it any good? I know the BUKU pipe is awesome. But how does this thing compare? I mean is it a huge improvement over the TRX stock exhaust. Ideally or I should say eventually I will get the Buku pipe but for now will I be impressed by this RD Logics?

Well i charged up the battery and no go, still same o problem. think i might just order a cheap FM radio off THS and use the bill me later option. Wont have any extra spending money till next week.
Not a vet but you got my full support. Sure do appreciate the work you guys do. I was having some issues with my receiver as well when about a good 6 inches of wire ripped off bcuz my Jato landed on its lid and slid about a good 20 yards or so. I ended up using an old receiver and remote that I had lying around. If you get a new Traxxas receiver you should be good. They are not expensive at all either.
thanks for the kind words man. its was really boring over there i will tell you that haha. i had a little beat up grasshopper while i was there that some kid pretty much gave me, only thing close i had to a rc car. when i was first stationed we were allowed to have our cars there but once i was moved we had to keep noise down so the nitros had to go. i plan on pickin up a receiver next thursday when my next paycheck comes through. forgot how expensive this hobby is! haha

Get the Buku. It is a hell of an improvement over the stock pipe. Never used the RD LOGICS pipe but I have heard that they don't hurt performance and are mainly for looks.

Too lean man. I know this, when the engine is not getting the proper lubrication from the oil in the fuel, it will get hot. The engine probably needs to be richened up. Meaning that it needs more fuel. There are two needles on the carbureator which control how the carbureator accepts fuel. By opening the needles up, you allow more fuel to reach the carbureator. I'm also rather new to these Jato's. For a long time I was running single needle carbs. However as I said before, the big needle that sticks straight up probably needs to be opened up more. Turn the black flathead adjustment on top of the carbureator counter-clockwise. This will I believe make the car seem like it is idling lower in which then you will have to adjust the idle at the bottom of the carbureator. It is a much smaller needle adjustment. You increase the idle by turning the idle needle clockwise. I hope that helps man. Keep checking here though. The guys on this forum are very knowledgable, and are willing to help everybody get their rides going. Best of luck. I hope you didn't cook it already.

It should. Too lean is too hot. And too hot is gonna make smoke. The terms rich and lean are as follows. Lean- Engine is getting more air than fuel in the air/fuel mixture. Rich-Engine is getting more fuel than air in the air/fuel mixture. It is always best to start rich and work your way to leaning the engine out. And try like Devo said and go to www.traxxas.com and watch the tuning video.

Well it wasn't a drop in.I used a savage 165cc fuel tank. Did some cutting of plastic, and made it fit. I have run 7 or so tanks with no problems. It runs almost 20 mins on a tank depending on what you do. I can post some pics of it.

Thats cool of you man but I wouldnt want someone to go out of there way like that. Im use to waiting anyways haha, 2 years of sand was killer!!! made coming back to Indiana feel like my honeymoon all over again in the Bahamas hahaha. I almost picked up one today but I had to renew my XBLaccount, only way I can really keep in touch with the guys I spent a lot of long horrible nights with. I just sold a 2.5 on here so I might try to pick up a used one either on here or other forums I float around on.

Dam I have an extra traxxas receiver at home that I'm not going to use. But I'm on vacation right now and about 300 miles from home and not getting back until this Friday. Sorry bro. But I will send it anyways when I get back home. I will let you know when I'm settled in I will PM you.
