It probably flooded, or the glow plug is dead.

Well if the electric motor is spinning but the engine isn't then try taking off the EZ START and check the gears and the one way bearing. If anything is damaged and it is brand new out of the box call Traxxas they have excelent customer service.

If it brand new. Take a hair dryer and heat the motor head up.. Traxxas motors are hard to start.

Someone else suggested I switch the wires around on the ez start motor,I did and now it turns over.....Question is how do I tell what motor tab is positive or negative(maybe the wires were backwards to begin with)...And how do I tell if the motor is running backwards or not...???

if the electric motor was running backwards the owb would just slip and not turn over the motor. if the nitro engine was running backwards then the ez start wouls be spinning with the motor running.

not sure what you meant by motor lol.

Most likely your glow starter is dead or your glow plug gone bad. [:-]

Think I found the problem.......But when looking from front to back and I hit the starter button should the silver colored flywheel turn clockwise of counter clockwise??? And I have got conflicting stories should the lettering on the one way bearing on the shaft be facing the front wheels or the back wheels????Thanks.....!!

It can be a bit confusing. If you turn the motor wires around, the motor will run backwards. The red wire should go to the terminal closest to the red dot on the motor can.

If you take the starter unit off the engine, the one way bearing can be turned around causing the engine not to crank in the right direction. The bearing is installed correctly when the engine turns counter clockwise when looking at it from the flywheel end of the engine when running the starter.
