I went to the LHS and put the truck in the shop due to Iam not sure what Iam doing. They told me that the piston and sleave was bad. It was sticking and the top. Is there a way to get it not to stick or is it sopose to be tight at the top? With the glow plug out and heat sink off the sleave slides up when you turn the flywheel. Can someone give me some info on this please? Thanks alot.

WOW your LHS has some dorks if the sleeve is getting stuck at the top of the piston. Thats a GOOD sign that your sleeve is comming out of the engine and then going back. If it wasn't doing that, then its shot. Please don't give your car to the LHS if they're that dumb, what will they do next, put shock oil in the fuel tank!!!!!

how much fuel do you have thru your motor?? if it is sticking at the top of the sleeve it is a good sign the motor is good to go. see the sleeve should start gettting tight just above the ports, a sound piece of advice is to another LHS to look at your motor. get your truck back and try heating the head up with a hair dryer and see if that helps ... i just finished breaking in a TZ12 that is still super tight at the top of the sleeve, infact it still sticks if i dont preheat the head and its got like 3/4 gallon thru it!!!!!

it could be a good sign. but i have had and engine ingest sand and the piston got stuck in the sleve because of the sand. ive also broken a con rod in another causing it to get stuck.
