Default Jato 3.3

I need some help on which parts to get. I am waiting on the arrival of the Jato I bought. I was told that the rear shock tower, rear A arm and the top plate are all broke. I have been looking for replacements and not having trouble finding them but now which brand is better? I am looking at upgrading what I can, to be stronger. So any suggestions on which brand???
Thanks in Advance

RPM Parts are the way to go, I just bought the front a-arms for my rustler, there nice because they are a strong plastic - much stronger and flexible than stock but dont weigh as much as metal or aluminum parts, and to be honest i have a integy front shock tower and that thing bent in an instant after nailing a curb[sm=lol.gif]... i bent it back so its still in but now i have ugly crease marks and it will always be weaker there.

Don't use integy aluminum in my opinion. I use fast lane machine aluminum and haven't bent a bulkhead, towers, or caster. But RPM all the way around and have the bumper! I've hit a basketball hoop at 30 mph and it bounced back like 10 feet, and the only thing that was got dented was the basketball hoop water holder thing.

That was the first and LAST integy part i will EVER buy or put on my truck!!! Only reason its still on it is because i like the look of the blue aluminum and figure its better than the stock plastic... and want to dump money elsewhere - like an intake. Have any suggestions on a really sweet - high volume intake for a rustler 2.5????

RPM is the way to go on mostly everything. And get motorsavers filters they're awsome. The resonator SC is also good. Youll also need some Jaco Foams if you want to bring it onroad without shredding tires to pieces. Other than that your set.

I agree with going RPM. They don't make shock towers but the stock ones are just fine. Do not get aluminum arms or shock towers for the Jato. It is fast and they will bend if you lose it. Aluminum steering belcrank will tighten up your steering response.

The only problem with the Jato sre the brakes. If you look through the OFFICIAL TRAXXAS JATO 3.3 thread you will find some easy fixes for the brakes. What I did was use fuel tubing, and aluminum arms fr the brake linkage arms. I also have a dual brake set up but you really don't need it.

For tires I use Jaco foams for running the streets and Proline 30 series Badlands for grass and off roading.

For better breathing I use the Motorsaver air filter as well. It is an awesome filter.

Hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy your new Jato.

Well I run an OS .21TM motor with an RS4 2 header and a Buku pipe. Some folks don't like the price of the pipe but for me it was money well spent.

Yeah they will fit. But those are 2.2 inch. Are you looking for 2.2 or 2.8 size rims. Remember the Jato comes stock with 2.8 inch rims.

Get some jaco foam tires for street! They are the best, i've put them through a torture test and was not succesful in busting them[] It looks like they haven't even woren out. I gave the remote to my nephew and had him do donuts and stuff like that with 2 quarts of fuel He got bored after the first

If you run the Jacos on asphalt or cement they hook awesome. Just make sure the black top is not brand new or it will slide all over the place.

You can make almost any body fit the jato. That one is for a 1/8 scale but there is a guy somewhere in her that put a 1/8 Hummer body on his Jato and it looks really nice.

Pro-Line’s classic car enthusiast’s captured the overall essence of the C10 and have now made it available in 1:10 scale format for T/E/2.5-MAXX™, Revo® and Savage owners.
I read that in the Description is this one not that body? I found this one for a rev 3.3 is that a bigger one? https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...l?pn=PRO322700

Well, here's a picture of my jato with that body on it. It was one of the first bodies I painted. And I had to trim out the bed for motor clearance, but it fit. Tell me what you think.

And here's some other one's I painted and fit...

Stock bodies run better on the Jato. And keep it more firmly planted on the ground. Some other bodies work as well. But be weary as the Jato is FAST and LIGHT. And if the body catches too much air underneath, it can be a flip king. My Viper body keeps it planted, but not the others.
