Default Painting a hard body

Hey guys, during 4th of july i had my stampede out and some guy come over and gave me a blue spraypainted corvette hard body. It was a real nice body, complete with chrome supercharger, chrome bumpers, and chrome sidepipes, but the paint job was crappy. So i have sanded it down most of the way so its smooth and now im gunna paint it. I already picked up 2 cans of tamiya plastics paint...some bright red and silver. I plan on having silver flames on the sides with a red main body. I was thinking that id spray the sides silver then once its dry id cover the area in masking tape, and draw flames on it with a sharpie and cut it out with an exacto knife. Then id spray over the tape with my red and once im done id peel it off...

it should look pretty boss sittin up on my stampede with the leds i already bought... Thanks guys
