Default Initial Control Throws for Pattern Plane

I'm finishing up the repair on my ShowTime 50. It's time to set the control throws. The (downloaded)manual gives low and high rates for the plane - but this plane is intended for 3D stuff - thinking that 45 degrees on the rudder is a tad over the top for pattern flying.

Where would you suggest initially setting the throws (angles work for me) for doing pattern maneuvers?

Thanks for your input!

Default RE: Initial Control Throws for Pattern Plane

My inclination would be to start at about 10deg all around (Ailerons and Elevator) as a starting point. I'd be inclined to keep the rudder up high but add a lot of expo. You'll want the full rudder for stall turns.

For snaps I'd up the ailerons considerably (20deg) and maybe raise the elevator to about 12deg, but lower the rudder a lot...to maybe 20deg.

Again, these are all guesses/starting point. You'll need to get your own feel, but this should be pretty flyable out the gate.
