Over indeed! You missed a fun contest. We had perfect weather for both days, completely in contrast to the weather reports and all the inclement weather that preceded it.
I don't have all the scores, but Brandon Sobolewski won Intermediate, Tim Olson won convincingly in Advanced, Mike Mueller cleaned up Masters and AC Glenn won a somewhat heated FAI battle.
24 or 25 contestants, though none in Sportsman.

Dennis,
I hope you make the Weak Signals contest. I would be curious to see the Aquila, I almost bought one a few months back, but held off because of weight concerns.

I think Jimmy Hubbardtalked to the "Big Man" upstairsandhe sent down some greatweather. My guess is he had one coming for fixing heavens YS's.
Dennis we missed you too.
Lots of cool things happened at this contest.
We had an old friend Gary who used to fly with us 30 years ago drive all the way from Phoenix Arizona to compete. He flew an old rehabbed Epicure that he converted to electric.
Frankie D. and Bill Gregg bothflew inthe contest. It was the first time for both of them in quite some time. Both flew pretty darn good too.
On Saturday all 4 guys flying in FAIwon a round. They all flew very well. AC Glenn new to our district took a pretty good lead over the field on Sunday during the F pattern. He's an impressive flier and seems to be getting better all the time. I look for him to be a force on the National level from now on.AC isvery determined and willing to do what it takes to go to the highest level. Dave Snow continues to impress with his Contra drive Spark Dynamic. His flying was impeccable. He's flying the best I have ever seen him.
Not everything was ideal because we missed having any showing from some of the cities nearest us. That was a disappointing element. Iunderstand that pattern is a lot of work and its certainly not in everyone's plans. Getting enought people to participate in an event can be hard to do. We really appreciate those who supported the event and hope you'll return again. Those who were unable to make the event we sure hope you canmake it here next year.
Next event is the Weak Signals. I expect an overflow crowd. We're bringing in the troops from our area. Thanks to all and happy flying Mike Mueller
PS: A picture of the guys who worked the hardest.

Ihave a great picture of Brandon Sobeljeskyand Tim Jesky. I thought it was time to him to associate with the Patriarch of a winner. I'll post it tonight.
Hey the old farts at my field are all retired and they are going to get Brandon and coach him all the time now. Being 12 years old what else does he have to do all day. Look out!!!!! This kid has talent and now resources.
Dennis, who cares what state your flying is in. It will get better competing. See ya there. M²
