The Ocean County Modelers club, OCM, will sponsor one pattern contest in 2012.
The pattern contest is scheduled for May 19th, 2012
It will be a one-day contest, and is entitled:
the OCM Spring Warm Up Pattern Contest
All typical AMA classes 401, 402, 403, 404, 406 will be flown
in Jackson, Ocean County, New Jersey.
This event will be located at:
Ocean County Modelers Air Park Wiskow Field.
This event is an AMA-Sanctioned Event, #12- 0523

On-site Registration: 8:00 AM
Pilots Briefing: 8:45 AM
Start of Contest: 9:00 AM
Pre-registration is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
However, please do not send the registration fee along with pre-registration.
Pre-registration info should include:
Name
AMA Number
Frequency
Class
Telephone Number
Email Address
Optional: NSRCA #
If applicable, number of non-competing assistants

AMA pattern sound limits will be enforced at CD's discretion due to local field sound limits.
ALL RC TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVERS MUST BE 1991 NARROW BAND EQUIPPED or operating with the 2.4 Ghz Spread Sprectrum system
FIELD RULES:
NO ENGINE START-UPS PRIOR TO 9:00 AM (applies to all days of all events)
(Field is locked at night.)
ยท ALL engines are to be started on one of the designated start-up stations.
ยท All excess fuel during fueling operations MUST be captured in a container.
ยท Pilots must bring a current AMA card
ยท Port-a-jon and food will be available
ยท Please note this site does not have any AC electrical outlets.

I think every one knew every one else. All had a good time.
I found it particularly interesting during the first flight in the very bright, sunny conditions. The sun reflecting off the sand caused the BOTTOM to be extremely visible. A couple times I thought I was inverted, confusing the roll elevator inputs. Weird..... but fun!!

Good times, yes! I still don't see D1 results posted on the NSRCA site. Will also be nice to see how Canandaigua turned out. Thanks again.
