Default Looking for Replacement C-Arf Integral

Hi Guys ,

I do not compete and do not plan to ever do so but I was flying an integral from composite arf for the last couple years a deadstick in a bad spot has left the fuse and a wing panel in bad shape...I do not want to replace it with an other pricey Pattern Ship , I am looking for a model of simular size and caracteristic to replace it in my fleet , i wouldn't mind an Hybrid 3D F3a plane but I do not want to spend the amounts that I did on the C-arf.

I would also like to use the motor from the integral or go to something gas. YS 170DZ with Hatori Pipe , and I have plenty of high end Digital servo's...

Please send me any recommendation's you have ! let me know if more info is needed.

Thanks

Check out the Vanquish 2m, but I think it may be only electric. Not sure?

Goldberg Obsession if you can find one. I had one, great all around plane will fly pattern stuff and 3D. Designed for a YS-160 or similar. I ran mine with an OS 160 and slimline pitts muffler.

Not sure what else is out there that's in the two meter range thats inexpensive these days.

Also,..There is a PL Excellence on the "Buy7Sell page for $350.00. That is a great flying plane,..older design. BIG pattern plane I must say, even for todays time. So, if you don't mind painting and some finish work, its a great choice.

I think QQ had several back in the day, for competition and one for F3A artistic aerobatics, like freestyle stuff.

There are lots of extra wings out there since many guys run built up wings. You can look for a set of those, too. Maybe you can find a used integral.

Extreme flight Osiris is a good plane. Not sure if glow will work or not. Also BJ Craft Monologue is not too expensive, may handle glow.

Thanks alot for all the recommendations , i find it is very hard now a days to find something for glow or gas of that size.

I don't think I feel like putting any serious amount of time building something , i have to many large aerobats and a fleet of jets to maintain so the Pattern is actually to relax at the field.

BTW I am terrible with electrics.

The Vanquish prototypes were originally built and flown on YS power. I have an E-version that I am converting to petrol power. The firewall needs modification to accept the gassie and the belly needs some care to accept the pipe I intend to run.

For you, the YS170's muffler is far smaller and should be a straight forward mod, firewall and belly. This model is a good flyer and will finish light on either gas or glow. Don't be put off by the lightweight construction; it is very strong. I had a similarly constructed 78" Extra from the same company (Extreme Flight) that I powered with a piped DLE55 just for kicks. NOW THAT was one hell of a fun plane...12# with 36# of thrust. Just right!!
