I intend to use the Futaba micro S3270SV for my 185CDI throttle. The servo has excellent parameters, but comes without any damper since originally intended for small electrics. Any installation suggestions? Thanks

What voltage are you using as it may be a bit too low in torque? 2.6kg @ 6.6 volts. It could be a bit too fragile as well?

I'm using the JR DS362 which is 3.8kg @ 4.8 volts, but I'm using unregulated LiFe's which are 6.6 volts.

The push rod doesn't want to be too solid either. I use a 1/32" wire in a plastic tube that has a couple of mm's clearance on the wire. This allows it to flex instead of transferring the vibrations to the servo.

I am using the Digiswitch with regulated 7.0v. There is very little friction in the setup.
My question was related to the fact that no dampers are supplied with this particular servo.
Any suggestions for a suitable installation to protect from the vibrations of a YS185CDI?

Even at 7 volts it has less than 3 kg's torque. Like I said, it maybe a bit marginal and the servo itself could be a bit fragile in this application because as you said, it is designed for small electrics.

What do you mean by dampers?

I gave you a suggestion for the push rod which will protect the servo from vibrations.

What have you used in the past?

The usual dampers supplied with "Regular" servos are in the shape of 4 grommets and eyelets.
Your suggestion solves the problem of vibrations due to the engine movements from side to side, and there are also vibrations caused by combustion. These are smoothed out by those grommets, and care should be taken of the servo housing not to touch any element of the structure. I am looking for a method of installing this particular servo with some kind of isolation from the structure.

In my other F3A model I use the HITEC Mighty Micro HS-85MG servo for throttle. It comes with 2 grommets, though, but is not HV and not S-BUS2 compatible.

I would modify the lugs to accept rubber grommets and eyelets. Looks like it should be possible.
