Plane Processing at the 2019 Pattern NationalsThe following bullet points will be used for plane processing at the 2019 Pattern Nationals.
- All AMA class planes must have their AMA number or Owners name & address on or in the plane. This will be verified during plane processing prior to applying the processed confirmation sticker.
- All FAI planes must have their AMA number on the outside of the plane, numbers must be 25mm tall or larger (0.984”).
- There is no weight limit for Sportsman and Intermediate classes.
- All classes including Sportsman and Intermediate must meet the 2 meter rule in overall length and width
- Advanced class has a weight allowance of 115 grams.
- Advanced, Masters, and FAI classes have a 50 grams allowance.
- An advanced class plane can weigh no more than 5165 grams.
- Masters and FAI class planes can weigh no more than 5050 grams.
- Noise limits: AMA 96 Db(A), FAI 94 Db(A), Sound ,meter tolerance is +/- 1 Db(A), making the AMA meter reading limit 97 Db(A) and FAI 95 Db(A). A Courtesy sound check for FAI & Masters will be set up in the plane processing area. The planes of the finalist in Masters and FAI will be checked prior to their first finals flight.
- Every plane is subject to safety inspection during the plane processing as to rigging issues that may present a safety issue.
- Battery voltage: AMA & FAI limit is 42.56 volts plus a 1% tolerance which comes to 42.99 volts (42.9856v rounded up to the nearest 0.01v). It will be the responsibility of any pilot using the High Voltage LiPo battery packs for a flight, to bring it to the attention of the site director upon entering the ready box, and for the pilot to provide the voltage checker and prove to the Site Directors appointed witness the voltage of his pack meets these limits prior to the starting of your 3 minute clock.
- If you brought a backup plane, process it along with your primary plane during Tuesdays plane processing.

There is Only 10 days left to register for the Nats, registration ends June 1st. This is one Nats you don't want to miss. Lots of extra flying this year, plenty of social events, a swap shop, seminar on cutting foam odd shaped parts, plenty of dinners included, and a really nice banquet. Register on the AMA web site. Be sure to select the AMA basic fee and the NSRCA RC Aerobatics fee in your cart before checking out. Each entry comes with one banquet ticket included, extra tickets are available there and will be available at the event.

Today and tomorrow is all you have left to register for the RC Aerobatic National Championships. Registration deadline is June 15th.
Please go to the NSRCA web site and check on your judging certification and be sure you are certified in both AMA and FAI, it is required in order to receive your packet at the Nationals. Help things run smooth, do it now so I don't have to look it up at the Nats, don't wait until the last minute. The practice sites will be open to practice starting on Saturday July 13th. Sites 1, 2, & 3 will be closed to practice prior to Monday and will open for practice Monday and Tuesday only, but all the practice sites will be open.
See you there.

We have been working hard to get everything ready for the RC Aerobatics Nationals. It is coming together nicely. Should be a great event, lots going on throughout the event. There sure is a lot that goes into this event. Thanks to a great team of volunteers who help make all this possible.
