I am finishing a Tai-Ji 60. I will be using a Saito FA-100. I would really like to put the tank over the CG. The only question is will I need to run a pump? From the nipple on the carb to the front of the tank is 10 inches ? I don't want to make any mods after I put something together if it can be helped. Has anybody tried this set up before or something similar. How far is too far to draw fuel with this engine? If a pump is the answer, which one should I use?

I have flown a Saito 100 in a Explorer 90 with the tank on the CG. I used a Cline Regulator and did not have any problems. I have a Cline on my 2m Viper FAI that I fly right now with a Saito 150 and it runs like a top. The tank is on the CG in the viper also.
I had the 150 originally in a Challenge 2 with a hopper tank and no regulator or pump and it would lean out and sag at the top of vertical maneuvers. I installed the Cline and it has ran great ever since.
So it's been my experience that the Saito needs a little something to help on the vertical and negative maneuvers.
