Hi Guys,
Just wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions for a good muffler for the Mintor 170. Also any pros / cons in using a muffler instead of a tuned pipe.
Also for you Mintor 170 owners any of you guys experiencing problem in blowing plugs?
Thanks Guys Look forward to hearing replies

3M have a new pipe (aluminum) and Aeroslave have a new carbon pipe for the motor. Both are available from www.aeroslave.com
You might want to try Zimmermann for custom headers and pipes if you are not looking for a tuned pipe.

I have used the Bolly muffler and it still has awesome power run a 15.75 X 13 3 blade on a Focus #1 at close to 11 lb. made a much better plane out of the Focus, not sure but I think the 590r Bolly isn't being made right now and very hard to find, I have heard that Bolly might start production again on the 590r.

Hello There raptor5900,
I’ve don the same with My set-up.
I’m using An Webra 160 Aero Xp Mounted on a A-type Mound.
I’ve copied this idea from Bob P. ass I thought it was an excellent idea.
Till now I haven’t got any trouble with this set-up.
I have about 32 fight or more with this system.
The one thing I notice was that the Servo it self would not get that much
counter vibration, as if it was mounted in side or some where on the plane.
This way the servo will move to getter with the engine.
Hoppe Bop P. will join in, ass he has more experience in this set-up , and also more fight on it.
Hope this is the info you looking for.
Regard’s

For me the best pipe is Mintor's Alluminium Pipe only 95g and a ton of power.... transition min to max Perfect!!
