Default Begining Pattern help

Beginer Pattern
I have flown for many years but now I am restarting after a couple of year lay off. Instead of just boring holes inthe sky I want to start flying pattern. I went to the link for NSRCA and looked at the sportsman and intermediate pattern and notice they were completely different from the patterns just listed in March 2005 MA So 2 questions.
1] which pattern should I by practicing.
2] If it is the one in MA can you tell me the control imputs for the flat spins. I have not been very successful at this.

Are you talking about the "Focus on Competition" section in the March 05 edition of Model Aviation?
If so, those sequences are for IMAC (scale aerobatics) NOT for PATTERN.

For Pattern practice with the ones at NSRCA.org
Click on "Download Call cards" under Competition menu. The PDF file clearly says that the sequences are official for 2005 & 2006.

This link has a power point diagrams of the sequences. Will provide some idea of how these things fit in the box.
