How about this plane ?
It is 775 sq inches on a 64" span- weighs under 7 lbs inc a .91 YS

Note : you have to be over 21 to figure it out.

Runaway - This is one I did for old friend -
The owner does not fly 3D but there is no reason it would not do any maneuvers -with larger surfaces
Wing loading is just under 21 ozs to the foot .
Having built a few of the latests ARFs -I don't see why these older designs with larger control surface won't work just as well.
As far as I can tell wingloading and power counts 9 of the 10 top reasons for good performance .
The rest is eyewash .
