Does anyone have any info on this plane? One just arrive at my door, also have a new YS 110 for it. I just gave it a quick lookover, looks OK. Has anyone built or flown one? Any tips?
This is my second attempt at pattern type plane. Had a Venus that lasted two flights, but those two flights were fun.
Thanks, MikeB

The Explorer is designed by Japanese F3A pilot Hatta, the original Explorer 140 came out back in the late 90s. They also have the 90 and the 50 size version

From reading other threads, this bird came in 2 flavors, the f3a (retracts) version and the acro (fixed gear) version. The excelleron is a rebadged explorer (acro version). Do a search here, there are 2 decent sized threads on this bird and the excelleron. Also check out the huge thread on the Excelleron and aerobob's writeup on his website for the Excelleron (rcaerobats.net). I have the Excelleron (have yet to finish it) with a ys110.

You'll like it with the Ys110. It should come in under 8 pounds
I have been flying the Explorer for over a year.
