Hi guys. I am currently finishing a Genesis and wanted to make the rudder removable. I read about people doing it but have have no idea how to do so. Can anyone please help? Hope to get my plane flying next weekend. Thanks.

I have done this in the past using a single, removable rod acting as the hinge pin on Dubro Heavy Duty hinges (with the removable cotter pin). Basically the hinges are lined up so the music wire pin can run directly through all of the pivot holes. The music wire is bent in an "L" shape, with the short secured to the bottom of the fuse or top of the vertical fin so it won't fall out.
I don't know whether this would work on the Genesis (I don't know anything about the kit), but it may be worth a try.

Hello.
I have not tried this product myself, but I believe Robart make some special housings for their pin hinges. The housing is glued into your fin, and the pin hinge is attached with a set screw.
