Another CofG / Trimming Question

I am familiar with both the level inverted flight test and the 45 degree upline inverted flight test for setting the GofG location. My question is how much do the results vary between the two and which one produces the more rearward CofG location?

Just my experience, but it's difficult to be specific for that one--we're entering the realms of "how it feels" rather than measurement--and other factors such as elevator throw and expo come in.
Again, just what I have found, but I find the 45-line thing easier for pattern planes, and the inverted one the best for3D,where some slight element of climb-when- inverted may help.
Fortunately, pattern planes, with their long moment arm, are quite tolerant of exact C.of G. position---they'll fly pretty well(say)1/2" either way, and it's down to personal preference and quite a few flights before the individual pilot's optimal position is set.

So there's not much difference in the final CofG location? That's what I expected, but I've never tried using both methods on one plane to see the differences.
