I'm just a sport flier, BUT I love the way "Pattern" planes fly (Track)---I have a couple "Wannabe" pattern planes (WM Groovy 3a90 & a GP Venus II) that I really like---I would like something like this; http://aero-works.net/store/detail.aspx?ID=260 ---Guys, I value your opinions, this airplane is advertised for "Unlimited 3D flying"---I am NOT a 3D flier---Also it does not have a "Giles/Pattern" style wing---Would I be disappointed / expecting it to fly like a pattern plane---
Thanks

If you want a plane that tracks like a pattern plane and cost is an issue, the Excelleron 90 is excellent, and with an OS120AX it is a beautiful combo. It will fly 3d or as I fly it for pattern with all the control surfaces tuned down. Excellent combo. Hobbie People puts them on sale all the time and you can get one from $179 to$279 depending on the sale.
The only thing I changed out is:
a. used Great Plane Medium pin hinges
b. landing gear to give more clearance on the prop.

Are you looking to compete? If so, the galaxy exceeds the maximum length and weight for pattern. I have not seen one fly, but I imagine it to be good as most of ca models stuff is.
I would think if you aren't competing that it may be ok, but I think it is also a 3d plane.
