Take a look at PL's new plane at [link]http://patricklemonnier.hautetfort.com/archive/2007/01/07/montage-du-proto-suite.html[/link], it seems the prototype will use a working canard!!!!!!

He obviously saw the proposed FAI schedules and is scrambling
It's interesting though. Anything that helps the plane fly more true without being crazy looking is worth a try.
I'm betting he's trying to accomplish the same thing as the infamous CLPR canalizer, with a bit more appealing look. It might work for a lot of things, I hope he gets it built and it doesn't become more vaporware...so to speak.

Your comment had nothing to do w/ PL and his new plane either....oops, this post does not either. Ok, I sure like that new PL plane. Now my post is relevant to the thread. Happy?

I guess you can't help having replies like we have when the threads title is:
"or things are getting pretty weird"
Yes they are weird. I wish that PL was still in business they made some fantastic planes. I had a Smaragd and it was a spectacular flying machine. I think that the Partner would still be selling if it was available. Mike

I don't know why Patrick doesn't make his previous designs anymore. As far as I know, he still has the molds and associated tooling, and if he doesn't, whoever does have them is an idiot for not producing them. Patrick's airplanes were well on their way to dominating the F3A scene worldwide, as in you would have seen PL's stuff and the Japanese pilots would still be doing their own thing. Tis a pity. I wish I could get another Partner. [

I dunno, but in my eyes them wings are way too small to create enough lift to fly that fuse.
LOL

Hello in all,
This (AXIAL) prototype is really very interesting for new programs FAI, PatricK Lemonnier has already made first attempts, the forms of this airplane F3A are incredibly very very beautiful, I hope that there will be a builder to fabricate this interesting model to see picture...
Is there you a person who could translate comments? Because me I not sui not very good in English thank you for that.
Have you ideas if there is already a builder for the AXIAL?
That 2007 is the year of the PL's great return in the field of the best conceptions F3A.
I am convinced at that all are going to look the AXIAL with amazed eyes and envieux...

Looks interesting, but the all important question.
does it effect flight in the manner thought?
I.e. is it a good idea or is it not?
