Default Engine For CMPRO LEO 110

I just got my leo 110 and need some advice pls.[]

Here are the specs.

Wingspan
1740mm
Length
1770mm
Weight
4.2~4.4 kg
Wing Loading
77~81 dm/2
Airfoil
Naca 0012
Wing Area
54.2 dm/2

I have these two spare engine that I can use.

Saito 150 (with an inverted slimline smoke pitts style muffler) and
OS 120AX (with the standard power box muffler).

Which engine should I use for my leo? I don't have a perry pump at the moment.

Option 1 (SAITO150 with smoke muffler): Shifiting the fuel tank forward and putting a smoke tank at the CG and a smoke pump.

Option 2 (OS120AX): Get a perry pump, tank CG position, but Power box muffler sticking out.

Thanks in advance.

Why do you want a pattern with smoke? It is supposed to be as light as possible. Put in the Saito with the stock muffler. My 2 cents...

Decided on the 120AX. The smoke was not for this plane actually. I just got for another plane and thought of using it on the leo cause of the extra space I would have. I very new to pattern flying and learning alot form other threads and realised its not a good idea to add more weight. I just got myself a perry pump and now hunting for a header and a tune pipe that would fit the 120AX.

Any idea what a good size prop should I use?

APC 16X8 is what I use with the stock muffler. Probably a good brake in on the pipe; then move to a 16X10 APC.

Thx randy. I did a search under your postings and learned about the header by mueller for the 120AX. Is that a company, brand or a person who makes this headers? Forgive my lack of knowledge on this. And how do I go about to get these headers? Are there other brands that makes headers for the 120AX as well?

I got a perry pump from a friend but I think its the old version and it looks old and corroded abit. Model VP-30

Can any one recomend me a good fuel pump for this setup? OS120AX, CMPRO Leo, Tank at CG point. Using standard Pbox muffler. Distance from tank and engine about 12 inches. Thx

No I have not found one yet. Just stuck with the original muffler. []

randy109 how do I give the measurements to Karl Mueller? What I mean is how to describe the measurements to him? Do I sketch out the drawings to him?

send him an email. He already makes some headers for OS120AXs. So he knows what size the exhast is. If he does not make one for the Leo110 yet; he will tell you what measurements he needs.
