I have just purchased the above motor for my pattern plane. The decision was based on a number of factors and would really appreciate some feedback on the following points:
1. Fuel tank location not an issue due to pump - is this a fact??
2. Tank height in relation to motor also not an issue - correct?
The distance from the centre of the tank to the motor will be approx 320-340mm (tank mounted over CG point in plane) - Is this too long?? If too long, would a small (2oz) hopper tank behind the firewall suffice. Plumbing will be done along a lattice to support and keep as straight as possible.
Any advice here would be appreciated
Many thanks

Clockit, I have that exact engine. Bought it from a guy that couldn’t get it to run right, even after sending to O.S. twice. I now run it without the pump using just a muffler tap with no problems. I did a bit of searching here on RCU and found that getting to run right with the pump isn’t an uncommon problem.
Incase you find the same issues I suggest trying an aftermarket pump like a Perry.

My motor ran great, but was not the powerhouse i was looking for in pattern, great for scale... awesome in a SIG Giant Rascal, but poor in my 90 sized swallow. i would try to get the 120 ax and pump with pipe or on reg muffler..
good luck
