Hi,
I recently purchased an X-Treme Composite OTOP. I used some pure alcohol to rub some epoxy thrown by mistake on the fuselage and I noticed that the colour started to come off. The manual of the plane states that it should be cleaned only with car shampoo. I wonder what is going to happen with the surfaces of the plane that will come in contact with methanol.
Please provide your suggestions on how to protect the colour of the model.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

Nick,
I've been flying an OTOP for about a year and a half using 30% Powermaster fuel and have
had no problems with the paint. When I was assembling it I even used some acetone on the
bottom of the cowl to remove some CA glue and it did nothing to the paint.
Good luck with your OTOP.
