Default design question

I'm designing my own pattern plane and would like some input on whether there are any obvious flaws in my design. For instance my wing is a little low on the fuselage, will this hurt much for performing pattern routines? Should the leading edge of the wing line up with the thrust center line, or is this not overly critical?

Very nice. The look kind of reminds me of a Rhapsody.

Your wing position (height-wise) looks fine to me. I would however, consider making the rudder a touch bigger by moving the hinge line forward a bit.

p.s. I also sent you a PM.

I'm no expert here, but the best thing to do is take an existing design and change things that you don't like. By using the exisiting design you can use as little as you like such as wing areas and placement of the stab and vert fin. Here is a good example:

I think a little more length wouldnt hurt anything, maybe I will just add a little to the back of the rudder. I took the general proportions off an existing plane on the market, so I did pretty much follow your advice on going with an existing design.

Anyways, Ive updated my design again and would like some more input such as will the vertical rudder hinge line cause flutter problems. I will be powering this plane with a tower .75 and it will have the wing off of the Loaded Dice pattern plane(64" wing span 2.125" thick.)

If only I could edit the the thread topic, that's embarrassing.
Jeff,

You should be able to go back to your original post and edit it. Then you can change the subject line to correct the typo...
