Get voice maneuver prompt without a caller
Seems more advanced AMA sequences has lots of maneuvers and it is quite possible to miss so a caller is helpful. But most of time during practice, there is no caller available.
I am wondering if any body is using some recording device during the flight to help with the sequences. The real issue with a recorder is how to trigger it to announce the upcoming maneuver.
Any thoughts?

try this link about modifying a MP3 player to be your 'caller'.

Thanks for the MP3 idea. It is definitely feasible. I also found voice-activated idea is interesting (e.g., Microsoft Voice Command on iPaq. or VAC MP3) will report back.
I recall I have recommended something similar to 14mz's mp3 playback feature in a separate RCU's thread. Should apply a patent first!
Exeter_acres,
If you do not need the fancy 14mz mp3 component, send it this way. LOL.

I think this device, if works as advertised, will make hands-free voice control possible over the entire sequence. One can also step it backwards in case a maneuver is to be repeated.

Now if it had noise cancelling built in or a gating function like a mic processor so it takes X amount of db audio to open the gate so loud noises in close proximity would cause it to register we could have a real winner.
Pretty neat device though.

This is such a great topic/idea! I've got a small mp3 player which I think has the same button for play and pause - have to check. If it does, I can tape it to the bottom of my radio so I can hit the button when I'm ready for the next move, and hit it again to pause.
